People who do not support Donald's Trump position on the link between vaccinations and autism have been blogging and tweeting that 'the science is clear - vaccines do not cause autism', but is that statement true?

Ten years ago, the link was debunked due to a Danish study demonstrating that mercury in vaccines DO NOT cause autism and the CDC used this information to ease parents concerns.  This was until it came to light that the CDC had PAID $11 million dollars for the study and the researcher embezzled the money causing concern regarding the validity of published information.  After further investigation, the following information came to light:

• According to reports, the study left out large amounts of data, such as changes in sample size, which may have affected the legitimacy of the study’s conclusions.

• The Coalition for Mercury-free Drugs (CoMeD) sent out a press-release titled, “Scandal Exposed in Major Study of Autism and Mercury.” According to their research, the authors of the “Danish Study” found that autism rates actually fell when thimerosal was taken out of the vaccines but did not include that information in the study’s conclusions.

• According to the Atlanta Business Chronicle, Dr. Poul Thorsen, a co-author of the Danish Study, was indicted in April of 2011 for 13 accounts of wire fraud, and nine accounts of money laundering, which resulted in the alleged theft of $1 million from the CDC grant.

In addition, research published in the Journal of Immunology by Dr. Helen Ratajczak looks at a factor that hasn't been widely discussed during the vaccine debate:  human DNA contained in vaccines.  Ratajczak reports that around the time vaccine makers took most thimerosal out of most vaccines, they began making some vaccines using human tissue. Ratajczak says human tissue is currently used in 23 vaccines. She discusses the increase in autism incidences corresponding with the introduction of human DNA to MMR vaccine and suggests the two could be linked. Ratajczak also says an additional increased spike in autism occurred in 1995 when chicken pox vaccine was grown in human fetal tissue.

Dr. Ratajczak explains "Because it's human DNA and recipients are humans, there's homologous recombination tinker. That DNA is incorporated into the host DNA. Now it's changed, altered self and body kills it. Where is this most expressed? The neurons of the brain. Now you have body killing the brain cells and it's an ongoing inflammation. It doesn't stop, it continues through the life of that individual."

And today, more sad news.  Four infants died today in Nepal after being vaccinated with the Measles and DPT vaccines.  

Sounds like the science isn't as clear as some lead us to believe.
